French Macron ‘The only reference point’ to repair the tie, says the Algerian president

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said in an interview that was aired on Algerian television that French colleague Emmanuel Macron “is the only reference point” to repair the damaged links with France. Relations between Paris and Algeria were stabbed by immigration and Macron’s recognition of the Moroccan sovereignty of the disputed territory of Western Sahara.
