Former English chief Fabio Capello says the “arrogant” Pep Guardiola did “huge damage to football”
Fabio Capello prevailed his altercation with Pep Guardiola and said that Katalan did “huge damage to football.”
The former head of England believes that the wish of other coaches to copy Gardiola’s brand possession of heavy football football has turned many fans from football because it is “boring”.

Capello Tears in Guardiola
He told the Spanish newspaper El Mundo: “He caused huge damage to football.
“Everyone spent 10 years trying to copy it. It happened in Italian football, who lost her identity. The absurd idea of playing good is just the maintenance of possession.
“Touch, tap, tap, touch, touch, touch, touch … Now, in Italian football, even a goalkeeper plays with the ball. It’s a disaster and boring and scared many football people.

Guardiola is “arrogant” – Capello
Capello also reiterated his claim that Guardiola “arrogance” cost him more of the Champions League success.
He said, “Do you know what I don’t like at Guardiola? His arrogance.
“The Champions League he won with City [in 2023] He was the only one where he tried nothing strange in decisive matches. Every other year, in Manchester and Munich, in key days he always wanted to be the main character. He changed things and made inventions so he could say, “The players have not won, I am.”
“And that arrogance cost him several champions leagues.”
Capello insists that he has not taken any satisfaction this season in Guardiola’s fight, however, with four -time Premier League champion defenders, currently in fourth place and fights to qualify for the next season of the Champions League In front of tomorrow’s trip to Nottingham Forest.

Capello Lauds Madrid Boss Ancelotti
Capello has no such problems with his colleagues of Italian Carl Ancelotti and is surprised at the way he deals with his Madrid stars.
“That’s the best in the world,” he said. “Carlo was intelligent as a player and is now very intelligent as a coach. Training Madrid is not easy for many stars he is even harder, but he does it as a mother.
“Sometimes people who don’t know about football despise him, but those of us who know are very clear. He knows when to speak loudly and when to be funny. It is an intelligence that allowed him to succeed everywhere.
“As a player, he retired with me, to Milan, and I offered him the opportunity to join my team immediately, but he already had an obligation to be his assistant in the Italian national team.
