Florida man swallowed the stolen Tiffany’s earrings before the police arrest him


The alleged thief in Florida swallowed stolen earrings worth more than half a million dollars for several moments before the police took him to custody last week.

Orlando police accused a man, 32-year-old Jaythan Gilder of lying to Tiffany & Co. employees At the Florida store, telling them to represent a “professional athlete”, which is why his employees showed him “a few highly valuable pieces.”

Mr. Gilder then allegedly stole earrings and ran out of the store.

When the police caught him later that day, they saw that Mr. Gilder “swallowed several items believed to have been stolen earrings,” the police said.

Mr. Gilder allegedly tried to steal two pairs of earnings worth $ 769,500 (£ 597,000), as well as a diamond ring that allegedly fell as he fled the store.

Police later released a X -ray shot that seemed to show the abdomen of an individual with a foreign object inside.

Asked by BBC, Orlando police did not say if they had pulled out jewelry.

Police also said that Mr. Gilder stole from Tiffany & Co before 2022, robbing a trade in Texas.

In nearby Colorado, there are also 48 separate orders for his arrest.

In the first instance, police accused Mr. Gilder of looting for a mask and a large theft, which was stolen by goods worth more than $ 100,000. It is assumed that it is innocent to be proven to be guilty of court.
