The Federal Air Force Administration briefly stopped flights at several Florida airports on Thursday night after a Testing Testing Spacex Starsship.
The incident indicates the second time this year Spacex experienced an accident During the Star Ship flight exam, which resulted in the debris rain and commercial flights were disturbed.
The affected airports included the Miami International Airport, which is American Airlines HUB and airports served by Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando in Florida.
The regulator said, in a statement on Thursday, now demands that Spacex “conduct an investigation into the Startship Loss of Starship while launching operations on March 6.”
During the event, FAA said, “activated the waste response area and briefly slowed down aircraft outside the area where space vehicles dropped or stopped aircraft at the place of departure. Normal operations continued.”
Spacex said in a post on X on Thursday night: “While burning the Starship, the vehicle experienced quickly unplanned disassembly and the contact was lost. Our team immediately began coordination with security officers to apply pre-planned answers in outstanding situations.”
Air Force and defense contractor, led by Elon Musk, also said that he plans to “review data from today’s flight test to better understand” the basic cause of the accident.
Starsship withdrew from Spaceport at 6:30 pm from the company near Brownsville Texas, for his eighth test flight.
In Live Stream showing a test flight, several engines seemed to cut as the vehicle was still climbed in the upper stage. The company then lost communication with the spacecraft, but managed to successfully use the hands of its launch tower to capture the rocket super heavy amplifier.
16. January dozens of flights were diverted After Spacex’s Starship missile fell apart and Faa warned of “the debris of the space vehicle”. The regulator warned the pilots to “the dangerous area due to the fall of the debris of a rocket star ship”.
Commercial airline, private plane and space industry compete for airspaceespecially in a congested area from Florida.
Spacex worked on an unfortunate investigation into what caused an earlier incident, but he was allowed to continue with an eighth test flight before completing the investigation.
Spacex did not immediately respond to the request for further information.
The highest and most powerful rocket ever launched, Starship is crucial for Spacex’s ambitions. When leaning on a super heavy amplifier, the Starship is 403 feet high and is about 30 feet in diameter.
The founder of the Spacex Musk is also a senior Trump advisor, who chairman in charge of reducing government agencies. His reach to regulatory agencies, including FAA, has attracted criticism and concern for democratic laws who are concerned about conflicts of interest, security risks and more.
