F1 2025: Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari, McLaren -O’s favorite title status, Max Verstappen and more ahead of the Australian GP | F1 news

How does Lewis Hamilton go with his first Ferrari? Which teams look like they’re forward after testing? What could be surprises in 2025?

There were a lot of intriguing questions that went on to the new Formula One season, and the countdown is firmly to the Australian Grand Prix next week and so asked you for ours Sky Sports app and websites during our Bahrain’s Live Blog Blog How new cars and lines 2025 took their first full steps on the track.

After answered the first round of questions last week, for the second time we get into a postal bag with a pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz This time taking a mantle to get rid of some of the best of the rest of a week until the opening of training in Melbourne Live on Sky Sports F1

Bethany352 asked: Will Ferrari Lewis Hamilton be better for him than the recent Mercedes’? How positive are the first signs of testing?

TED replies: There are very positive signs that Hamilton enjoys the way Ferrari drives more than Mercedes.

I think he got what he wanted in terms of the driver’s positioning in the cockpit. No complaints on any side. What is crucial, he found that the designers and the team behind him are the quality of the championship and recognizes that he has everything he needs on the team to develop a car and develop his rivals to try to win this year’s championship.

So, even if Ferrari does not win the races at the beginning of the season, Lewis Hamilton is sure that she will be able to win races and tackle what is Paceetter.

Lewis Hamilton says his first race with Ferrari in Melbourne will be ‘very reminiscent of his first Grand Prix

Sanath Kamte asked: What do you think the baking order is?

TED replies: I’m going to McLaren, then Ferrari/Mercedes or Mercedes/Ferrari – and if you want to push me for a particular order, I will say Mercedes and then Ferrari – followed by Red Bull.

Alpine in fifth place, Williams in the sixth, Haas in the seventh – which is optimistic, but they say they are in a decent form – and racing bulls eighth. Then Aston Martin in the ninth and Sauber 10.

The Guard asked: How does McLaren feel at this stage compared to last year when they fought more?

TED replies: McLaren had a great test in Bahrein and feel much better at this stage compared to last year.

Yes, there were some problems with setting up, especially around the rear adhesion, but it is Bahrain for you and think they can get it out.

But watch Mercedes, I think they will be close.

Ethan asked: Do you think there will be surprising renegades this season?

TED replies: I’m not sure if any of the backlands will be a surprise, but I can surely see both Williams’ driver end up on the podium. I think they all got a soft place for Williams and would like to see it. Pierre Gasly is also a possible candidate for the stand in the Alpina.

I also hoped for Ollie Bearman if Haas could persecute a surprise or two.

Jamie asked: With such a big change in regulations for the next year, how early the teams would work on the 2026 car?

TED replies: The comparison, the teams were not allowed to start their cars in 2026 until the first working day of this January, and as soon as they were allowed to do so.

The difficult thing for car designers is to elaborate on how they can be fast in a straight line with moving front and back wings we will have in 2026. And how it affects the rest of the car. Will they have to run their car in a different way because they know they will open their wings on straight? That’s a real puzzle.

I think the winners of the rules will be reduced to the engine, as it will rely so much more on the engine to produce electricity because we are removed with a turbine that creates an electricity that leaves the turbocharger for next year. So, the only way you can produce electricity for your battery is using regenerative braking. It will be the biggest change for the regulations next year.

Look at the moment when Toto Wolff told Kimi Antonelli that he would drive for Mercedes 2025. Formula 1: Driving to survive the S7 launches March 7th.

ABF1 asked: Which of the Novak has you most impressed you in testing?

TED replies: It’s hard when some of the recruits are in cars that may not make their talents of justice, but, saying that, Gabriel Bortoleto is already one of mine for watching. He has a good perspective on things and he seems to have a little patience, which he will need while Sauber Inc is on his way to the net.

“But looking at Trackside, Kimi Antonelli was the one that impressed me the most. He has a dramatic, aggressive and, to borrow a phrase of Martin Brundle, an acrobatic style that I think we will truly enjoy watching this year.”

Eddie asked: Does anyone think Lewis Hamilton will win his eighth title this season? Or will Max Verstappen Smart?

TED replies: They both know how to win the championships. Max goes five in a row, Lewis goes to his eighth, and they know that consistency is an answer. Consistently scores are really winning the championships, so even if they don’t win, being on a podium at every race will be enough to be a serious challenger toward the end. Any of them could win.

But what none of the title candidates can really afford are the races without a grade. You may be mostly drawn with one or two, but certainly no more than that.

George Russell couldn’t resist waving his former Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton during the third day of testing

Alan Ryan asked: Will Ferrari place a car toward Lewis or Charles? Do they both want to set up?

TED replies: We asked Charles Leclerca about it and he said Lewis loved a similar setting. This helps to develop a car because drivers don’t want different things, which would just confuse the team.

So, this is one of the reasons why I think, although Ferrari may not be the fastest at the beginning of the season, they will develop and give McLaren a difficult time when we arrive at European races.

F1Fan94 asked: How do you think the Land and Oscar relationship will develop/change if they have a championship car this season? Will it change?

TED replies: This is a truly interesting theme of connections between Land Norris and Oscar Piastra. She survived last year through all the questions about whether or not to exist, and after the Oil switch in Brazil and Qatar’s races, so I think she will survive, survive this year.

It will depend a lot on who will start the season the strongest and whether any of them have any problems like DNF or the breakup of a car, which will be very expensive this year. But both are so easy that I can’t see that there will be a problem between two McLaren drivers.

Mike asked: Will cars change the design/aircraft from what we see in testing for the first race?

TED replies: I would say that if any team changed something, Aston Martin with Adrian Newey, who started on March 3, began in the team, entering and making a quickly different front wing or something to use, but, unfortunately, I don’t think that’s so simple.

I think we will see some new parts through the net, but they would be in design and production for several weeks. Usually, if the team saw something on another car on the launch they liked and can make their own, then they will appear in the race two or three.

But certainly, Red Bull and Mercedes said the car they tested would be a car that appears in Melbourne. I think McLaren has come for the first race, but that’s about it.

Ted Kravitz Sky Sports F1 is reflected on the third and last day of pre -season testing in Bahrein for 2025.

Adam asked: Is this a year for Land?

Ted replies: “He knows that there is a lot of expectations on him, but all he can do is just try and exclude it because it won’t help him.

“He just needs to take every race as he is coming, early banks, see how the clarification of the Spanish doctor on the general practice on the front wings will affect McLaren, if at all – they say that it is not – and then reserves its energy for what will be crucial half of the season.”
