Palestinian authority President Abbas says he is ready to hold elections within a year

Palestinian authorities Mahmoud Abbas said on Tuesday that he was ready to hold presidential and parliamentary elections within the year – if the circumstances allow – to the Arab League summit on the reconstruction of Gaza held in Cairo. He also announced the creation of a vice president’s position in his government and Amnesty for the expelled members of his Fatah party.
