The Senate Finance Committee voted on Tuesday afternoon on party lines to improve Dr. Mehmet Oz, President Donald TrumpThe selection is to keep centers for Medicare and Medicaid services, to a complete vote for confirmation.
The party voting, where 14 GOP senators voted for Oz and 13 Democrats voting against him, followed by two hearing of the Senate Finance Committee that examined OZ about his plans for federal health programs, his views on abortion, potential conflicts of interest in the health industry and more.
“Dr. Oz has many years of experience as a renowned doctor and advocate of public health. His background makes him unique qualified for this role, and there is no doubt that he will work tirelessly to make upheld the necessary changes in CMS,” Senator Mike Crapo, R-IDAHO chairman.

Oz graduated from Harvard University and acquired a medical and business diplomas at Pennsylvania University. He is a former heart surgeon who has seen his glory increasing through his performances on daily TV “The Dr Oz Show”.
Oz later moved to politics, launching an unsuccessful offer for Open Senate Place in Pennsylvania 2022. He eventually lost to John Fetterman, then a governor of the governor.
If it is confirmed by the entire Senate, OZ would be in charge of almost $ 1.5 trillion of federal health consumption in healthcare.
