“Delta Flight 1398 returned to Boston shortly after the take -off after a smoky scent was discovered in the cabin,” the statement said. “Our flight crew followed the established procedures and safely returned to Boston. We honestly apologize to our customers for the delay in their trips.”
The Federal Air Force Administration (FAA) also published a statement of the incident.
“Delta Air Lines Flight 1398 safely returned to Boston Logan International Airport at 9:35 pm on Sunday, March 2, after the crew reported smoke in the deck and cabin,” the Government Agency said. “Airbus 220 headed to the Louis Armstrong New Orleans international Airport.
