Kl Rahul joined the Delhi Capitals camp after a short break to celebrate a special moment in his life. Kl Rahul missed Delhi Capitals’ IPL 2025 against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24th while welcomed his first child with his wife Athiya Shetty.
Rahul returned to the capital in Delhi at the key time after announcing his daughter’s birth on March 24, because on Sunday, March 30, they were preparing for the IPL 2025 conflict against Sunrizes Hyderabada (SRH), on Reddy Aca-Vdca Staddium.

Delhi Capitals signed Rahul during the IPL 2025 mega auction for an incredible INR 14 crore after being released by Lucknow Super Giants, where he was captain of the first three seasons. Previously, the Indian guard joined the franchise in Visakhapatnam, but only to return to his wife, as she should have delivered.

When joining DC at IPL 2025, Rahul said: “This is a new experience for me, joined my fourth or fifth franchise of the IPL. This is also exciting and nervously defendant. Each new team brings in uncertainty that players will gel, how to manage the fans.
