Death of Gene Hackman: The new detail could help solve mystery, says the former investigator

Mark Kreushch, a photographer who took photos of Hackman and Arakawa, would often see the couple enjoy long “very, very remote” locations outside Santa Fe.
“I would see him in remote areas in passing and only on that long run,” Kreushch told Fox News Digital.
“I actually saw them drive several different times. I came from Albuquerque or went to Santa Fe from Taos, and I saw them and recognized both of their cars. I somehow gave them as much space as they could get, but I would see them in those very, very distant areas. They were really picturesque places on the side of the river.”
Once, especially, Kreusch recalled that he saw Hackman retreat during one of his solo drives.

“I went to ski. And I saw him retreat,” he said. “I went upstairs [the mountain] in a few hours. And I came back and [Betsy] They met with him, and they were still there. It was just the two of them, but she always had her dogs with her. Always. She loved these animals.

Kreusch said it was clear that the two were “really, really tight”.
