Rochester’s Police Union Locust Club defended the official shop and called Evans’s statement “with a complete excessive reaction” to what was the call for urgent assistance.

The union said in a press release that when police arrived at the scene, passengers were not associates and that the police did not launch a police station. The union said that officers do not have data on the residents of the van or asked about their Immigration status.
“As with any law enforcement agency, which indicates that it has a critical situation in the city of Rochester, officials responded under the lights and sirens … Expecting their fellow law officials will be in trouble when they have arrived there,” the public said.
They said that the officers “did absolutely nothing wrong, except that they respond to the call for the help of another agency.”
