Paddy Brennan made titles during the Jumps season with his persistence to take over the constituen Hill to Hurle Champion, and his date with fate arrived.

The hero of the Cheltenham Festival in 2023 returns on the first day in an attempt to regain its crown, taking over last year’s winning state and a new candidate Whirperdaysahead.

The first of the four daily unrestrained Cheltenham show, Brennan and host Matt Chapman talked about all seven races on Tuesdays at the festival, and were joined by coach Tony Mullins and Jockey James Bowen on the phone.

“I think the shimmering Daysahead will win the champion obstacle,” Brennan said. “This 7 LB supplement is a lot of weight and that could be a difference.
