Chelsea ‘must give fans a title’, says Maresca after the conference’s victory

Chelsea chief Enzo Maresca says the club had to win trophies after his side beat Copenhagen to move in the last eight conference league.

Chelsea stamped the form from Christmas and were again far from their best against Danac.

They were discarded at halftime after a terrible 45 minutes, which made them managed to have a single goal.

But the introduction of Cole Palmer helped them life, and the excellent solo goal of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was enough to set up a quarterfinals with Legiaa Warsaw.

Maresca said: “It is important to reach the quarterfinals. Now the goal is the next step that is the semi -finals. We deserved it over two legs. We changed and adjusted in the second half and we were much better. You need patience.

“This club has always won trophies in the past and we have to do our best to achieve our target this season. We have to give fans and club title.”

The quarterfinals will be played on April 10 and 17.
