Belgian Darts Open: Ryan Searle sets the Little of Littler Showdown as Mike de Decker’s books in which he meets Luke Humphory | News Darts

Ryan Searle set up a showdown with World Champion Luke Littler and Mike de Decker booked a gathering with the World No 1 Luke Humphries during the first day of open Lecot Belgian pikads.
Searle opened its challenge with a 6-2 victory against Darryl Pilgrim, bolding a second round meeting with defender Littler – who won a debut on Saturday night – last year.
The initial favorite de Decker overcame great fear against Thomas Lovely in Oktoberhalen, where he survived two matches when he was 5-4 down before he went through a decision on his final leg.
The 29-year-old will now go head to the head on the big stage with Humphries for the first time since De Decker beat him to ask for a TV title in October Boyesesports World Grand Prix.
“This crowd has been an amazing for the last four years, and I’m so happy to have passed them tonight,” De Decker thought. “I just wanted to play well.
“I played very well in Backstage, but I’m still trying to find confidence with my setup. I can ask Luke tomorrow if we can play twice the exit because then I know I can win!”
Daryl Gurney was on Friday, singing out the performer, average 106 and landed in a ton-plus ending bracelet to ship Thibault Tricole 6-1 and secured a conflict of the second round against Danny Noppert.
Dutch duo Dirk Van Duijvenboda and Gian Van Veen also celebrated their return victories, overturning 4-1 deficit against Darius Labanauskas and James Hurrella.
Michael Smith was among the other high winners of the first round, turning a sensational 125 ending of a bull on the way to the success of 6-5 against persistent Ryan Joyce, while Raymond Van Barneveld progressed and on Saturday he will face UK Open James Wade.
European champion Ritchie Edhouse escaped the winner 6-4 against Owen Bates in the high quality affair and will now play Nathan Aspinall for a place in the last 16, with the second round on Saturday on two sessions.
