The Crown control Committee in India (BCCI) has now decided to jump in controversy. The Committee came to defense of Rohit Sharma and scored a Congress politician for such comments.
Secretary of BCCI Devajit Saikia condemned the comments and claimed that it could have a demoralizing effect on the player in the middle of a big tournament. It should be noted that Rohit is currently leading India in a liquid champion trophy.

Devajit Saikia spoke with NDTV about this question and marked the comments as “unhappy”. He hopes that such comments have no effect on players, and he also asked politicians not to give derogatory comments for their own publicity.
“Very unhappy that a responsible person has given such a trivial comment when a team is in the middle of such a key ICC tournament. It can have a demonral effect on the individual or a team,” Saikia said.
“All players play to their greatest potential, and the results are visible. I hope that individuals will give up making such derogatory statements for personal publicity,” he added.
