Bayern Munich, Liverpool & Man Utd learns to look for a price for Angela Stiller
The main European clubs interested in the midfielder Stuttgart Angelo Stiller are faced with payment significantly more than the release clause in their current contract.
Stiller appeared as a potential heir to the now retired Toni Kroos, succeeding in the Bundesliga last season after moving from Hoffenheim to Stuttgart.
The club finished second in the rankings, their highest place since winning the League 2006/07, and qualified for the Champions League for the first time in 15 years.
Stiller’s role in this success has understandably caught the attention of larger clubs, including homemade giants Bayern Munichas well as Manchester United and Liverpool.
Sky Sport Germanywith Florian Plettenberg He discovered that the release clause in the amount of € 40 million, active from the summer of 2026, exists in a 23-year-old contract. But the promise of the landing of the talent for an affordable fixed price is more complex than it seems at first glance.
Stuttgart is believed to have a contractual right to buy this release clause from a contract for the amount of 2 million euros, a measure that protects the club now that Stiller’s market value exceeded the fixed price of the clause. This means that for the only addition of € 2 million, they could set the required price much higher.
The release clause, therefore, becomes a bit pointless and will require that all interested clubs officially negotiate a transfer with Stuttgart if they want to sign a player.
Stuttgart generally seems safe that Stiller will stay with the club next season.
“It’s not a problem that is currently on our agenda,” said Fabian Wohlgemuth CEO of Fabian Wohlgemuth Bild This week. “The player has committed himself to VFB without any IFS -a Buts. We know exactly what we have in Angela. And that’s just the end of things.”
