Portnoy described the call he received from someone within the Government as “strange” in the video posted on his X account.
He said he mentioned the invitation he received during his appearance with Fox News ‘and Fox Business’ Stuart Varney, but “no one paid attention.”

But even though he had no interest in the job, he found one big request to be quite unusual.
“I called, I don’t know, a few months ago? I don’t know when I got a call,” Portnoy explained. “It was like, ‘Hey, would you have interest, Dave, in joining the Ministry of Trade – the secretary of the trade under [Howard] Lutnick, or a guy who works under him. ‘

Returning to the call he received, Portnoy said it was nothing more than that.

Portnoy seems to have no interest that he cannot run Bartol Sports, which he founded in 2003 and incorporated into a very successful media brand.
