In recent development, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) received an incentive after their defeat against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Avesh Khan Bowling Bowling, who was recovering from the right knee, was cleaned to join Luckenow Super Giants for.

According to the ESPNCRICINFO report, Avesh Khan received approval from the BCCI Medical Team to join Lucknow Super Giants. He had discomfort in his right knee. The report added that Avesh was subjected to his final fitness test on Monday before receiving the approval to return to action.
“Espncricinfo has learned that Avesh, who dealt with the problem in the right knee, was received by the BCCI medical staff this week and will soon join the LSG team,” the report said.
“It is understood that he has experienced discomfort in his right knee, which was related to his work load during the domestic season. It is understood that he passed one of his final fitness tests on Monday,” the report added.
Date of return Avesh Khan for LSG that is yet to decide
The report added that Avesh Khan’s return date to the Super Giants team was not confirmed. However, it is expected to be available for their next Sunrizers Hyderabad March 27 match. LSG, who lost the season’s opener at Delhi Capital, struggled with injuries to key Indian fast bowlers.
Mayank Yadav, who was already recovering from a lumbar stress injury, recently sustained a toe injury. Akash Deep is still returning full fitness after a back injury during a test series in Australia. Mohsin Khan was excluded from the IPL 2025 due to tears of ACL, and Shardul Thakur replaced him in the composition.
LSG Reacquire Avesh Khan for ₹ 9.75 Crowns on IPL 2025 auction
Avesh Khan bought Lucknow Super Giants for ₹ 9.75 crowns on a mega auction. The Madhya Fast Bowling Pradesh played for LSG in the 2022 and 2023 season, before trading in Rajasthan Royals for the IPL 2024 season. However, LSG decided to return it to their team in front of the IPL 2025.
With LSG dealing with the injuries of key Indian rapid bowlers, Avesh’s return is crucial. The franchise has shown faith in him, and he will be eager to perform matches and fulfill expectations. The 28-year-old took 74 Wickeke in 62 IPL Innings, and his best bowling figures were 4/24.
