At least a dozen people were injured in a shooting at a pub in Toronto, and the suspect is still at large, police say in the Canadian city.
The shooting occurred on Friday at 10:39 pm local time (03:39 GMT on Saturday) near the center of Scarborough in East Toronto.
The authorities did not reveal the extent of the injuries, but they said that four victims had life -threatening injuries.
The suspect, who wore a black balava, was seen fleeing the scene in a silver car, police said.
“I am deeply upset when I hear reports on the shooting at the pub in Scarborough,” wrote Mayor Olivia Chow on X.
She said the police chief “assured me that all the necessary resources were allocated.”
“This is an early and current investigation – the police will provide further details. My thoughts are with victims and their families.”
