Former Pakistan coach Jason Gillespie scored India Velika Sunil Gavaskar due to a tasteless remark on Pakistan’s crown.
The comments of the former Indian skipper followed after Pakistan were thrown out of the current ICC champion of 2025 trophy. Despite the hosts and defenders, Pakistan performed a terrible performance and withdrew from the competition in the group stage.

The campaign began with a loss of 60 run against New Zealand. In their second game, they suffered a crushed loss of 6 winches in the hands of India before their last match against Bangladesh was washed.
After Pakistan’s flawless exit from the tournament, Sunil Gavascar claimed that the current Pakistani team would fight to even beat the other Indian side.
“I think B team (from India) safely (can run for his money to Pakistan). C Tim, I’m not too sure. But the B team will be very, very difficult to win for Pakistan in its current form,” Gavascar said in ‘Sports Today’.
However, the Gavaskar comments did not collapse well with Jason Gillespie. The former Australian Pacer called the comments of “absolute nonsense” before saying that Pakistan could beat any team in the world if the right players support.
“I don’t buy this rhetoric. I saw some comments Sunil Gavascar about the Indian B team or Indian team C would beat Pakistan Top Team. It’s nonsense, absolute nonsense,” said Jason Gillespie.
“If Pakistan chooses and stick to the right players and give them time to shine and, you know, time to learn and develop their games, they can beat anyone. I have no doubt about it. They just had to choose the right talent of top class and support them and be patient with them,” he added.

Speaking further, Jason Gillespie pointed out the issue of impatience in a crime in Pakistan. He stated that the situation of the crislette in Pakistan would not change as long as and if Pakistani Crket board (PCB) hired the right people and does not support the right players. He also invited the board to be patient with players and selectors.
“You know, there are too many impatience in Pakistan in Pakistan. And if Pakistan, if the Committee, PCB and the Committee wants to change and want the results to improve, need to establish the right people, get the right players on the bus and get the right panel and support them and give them that they are intended for them.”

Jason Gillespie further said that the coaches needed time and make a difference. He stated that if coaches were not allowed to build something meaningful, the results would not change.
Gillespie was named the main coach of the Pakistani test team in April last year after signing a two -year contract. However, he resigned in December shortly after it was removed from Pakistan’s pack during a test series against England. Similarly, Gary Kirsten also stepped down as Pakistan’s coach with a white ball just six months after his appointment.
“And the same is worth the coaches. If you are going to give the coach the opportunity, give them the opportunity to really build something meaningful because otherwise the results will remain the same, he said.
