A tourist submarine sinks from the Red Sea coast in Egypt, killing at least six people, say the state media


Cairo – Six tourists died on Thursday when the tourist submarine sank from the Hurghad resort on the Egyptian coast of the Red Sea, the state media reported. The Akhbar Al-Youm state newspaper website said the deceased were all foreigners, adding that 19 others were injured.

Investigations are underway to determine what caused the accident, according to the newspaper, on which he said they were injured transported to nearby hospitals along with the bodies of the deceased.

Hurghada, a busy tourist city, some 285 miles southeast of the Egyptian capital of Cairo, is the main destination for visitors to Egypt.
