A member of Grateful Dead -a looking forward to dying

Thanksgiving Founder Bobby Weir is one of the last men standing in his legendary rock band.
The thought of mortality was crossed by Weir’s mind because he saw that many members of his band pass.
Despite living a life full of music and memories, Weir’s feelings were not afraid, but accepting.

“I am inclined to consider death to be the last and best reward for a good living life. That’s it. I still have a lot on my plate and I won’t be ready to go for a while.”

Until Weir showed signs of slowing down, he witnessed several deaths of his band members including bassist Phil Lesi guitarist Jerry Garcia.
“I would love … well, Phil arrived by his eighties. Jerry wasn’t, and there was much that Jerry could offer that he couldn’t offer.
Lesh was one of the founders and died in October 2024. He was 84 years old.
Weir testified to several deaths of his band members, including bassist Phil Lesh and guitarist Jerry Garcia.
Weir was a well -known “little brother” Grateful Dead because he joined the band at the age of 16.
In 1963, in the Rolling Stone altar, he met Garcia in Palo Alta, California.
Weir is one of several remaining band members, along with drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann.

Before Lesh’s death, four band colleagues talked about reuniting in honor of the 60th anniversary of the rock band this year. Ever since Lesh’s passage, Weir has not been sure of reuniting the band now.
“We’re talking a language that no one else speaks,” Weir explained. “We communicate, we throw things forward -back, and then make our little statement a more universal language.”

He continued, “For us, this is a look or movement with one shoulder or the way you reflect a phrase or something that advises from other guys where you go with it. And then they work to be where you started with a little surprise for you. It is a formula that actually seemed to us, and there was simply not enough left there.
However, this month Weir returned to Las Vegas for another residence of the dead and a company with 18 shows in the sphere.
“That’s what I’m doing,” he said. “That’s why I’m here.”
