The game that has been burning for weeks on the island of Amsterdam, part of the French southern and Antarctic countries, has so far destroyed 55 percent of small territory in the southern Indian Ocean. The refuge for biodiversity is home to one of the world’s research cells that monitor the concentration of greenhouse gases around the world.
