Comedian Amber Ruffin hopes the president Donald Trump will log out again This year the dinner of the White House Association.
The “Late Show with Seth Meyers” writer will be entitled Dinner in April and discuss the event at CNN “Leadership with Jake Tapper” on Wednesday.
Although Trump never attended the evening during his first term, Tapper asked Ruffin if he would be interested in seeing him this year.
“Not!” Ruffin exclaimed. “No one wants it. Of course, it’s something to do. I can’t imagine it would.”

“You should,” she added. “He lacks one of the handsome things about being the president of the United States, but I do not know that anyone is looking forward to being in the same room as he does.”

Trump has not yet indicated whether to attend the evenings of the White House Association.
Tapper noted that Ruffin’s boss, Host on the late night Seth MeyersHe had previously led the dinner of the White House Association in 2011. That year, Meyers mocked Trump, who attended the event.
“Donald Trump said he would run for the president as a Republican, which is surprising because I just assumed he was running as a joke,” Meyers said at the time.

Tapper pointed out that some had attributed that moment to Trump’s inspiration to run for the President of 2015 in the end.

President Biden attended the evening 2022, 2023 and 2024.
