Two Virginia Beach police officers shot while “helpless” during the late nights of stopping traffic

Two young police officers In Virginia are dead after stopping traffic on late nights ended up in a fatal shooting.
Cameron Girvin officers, 25 years and Christopher Reese, 30, were declared dead in hospitals after shooting, according to Virginia Beach police Chief Paul Neudigate.
The couple, who drove together on Friday night, attracted a car for a license plate at about 11:27 pm, Neudigate said during a press conference Saturday.
Transport stopping happened near the intersection of Lynnhaven Parkway and Wendfield Drive in Virginia Beach, next to the housing complex.

They both approached the vehicle and the male driver, later identified as a convicted crime, John McCoy III, was immediately argued and refused to get out of the car.
At some point he got out of the car, and there was a “shower” between the officers and McCoy.
McCoy pulled a gun out of his pocket and immediately shot two officers.

Officers found McCoy in the shed just behind the residential complex, with a fatal early crackle to the head less than an hour after the shooting.
The wound seems to be self -impressed, towards the authorities.
“We are all hurt,” Neudigate said. “We have families who have lost their loved one in the premiere of their lives and are completely devastated. We have an officer who is 25, another one who is 30 with such a future in front of them, is pointlessly taken.”
While officials are still sorting the motive, they said McCoy may have acted because he had a gun, a criminal offense as a offender.
“We know from his criminal history, he has one Certificate certificate Since 2009, so it’s not recent, but that makes him an offense, “said the unlawful.” A fiery weapon foul would be a new charge of a criminal offense. “
Although there were another person in the car with McCoy at the time of traffic stop, no one else will be charged in the shooting, he said.
This incident is documented on a camera that is worn out by bodies and a camera in the car, according to Neudigate.

On Saturday morning, the department doubled all its cars officers, so there were no officers on the road.
“What is doing this is our officers the opportunity to have someone in that car with them to help in the process, help try to understand what happened and feel that they have a semblance of security,” Neudigate said.
