Tottenham closes in mathys tel
Tottenham seemingly won the race for Bayern striker from Munich Mathys Tel, just days after the Frenchman refused a move to North London.
Tel initially told Bayern that he wanted to leave in the January window after becoming frustrated by the lack of opportunities at the Allianz Arena, but encouraged Spurs offer, despite the fact that Chairman Daniel Levy flew to Munich.
The 19-year-old stated that he would stay in Bayern and repeat his future in the summer, only to take a turn after talking to Spurs chief Ange Postecoglou.
Tel flies to London this afternoon, according to L’Equipe, to sign what is expected to have a loan agreement.

The news will come as a relief for Postecoglou, who was frustrated in his attempts to strengthen his team hit by injury this month.
Although Kevin Danso joined the lens yesterday, the Spurs were relatively quiet and had an offer of £ 70m for Captain Crystal Palace Marc Guehi’s captured this morning.
Questions on the field, at least last week turned to better, and Tottenham supported 3-0 defeat from Elfsborg on Thursday in the Europa League with an impressive 2-0 Premier League victory in Brentford.
