Everton secured a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace in Selhurst Park with goals of Beto and Carlos Alcaraza, ensuring that David Moyes left southern London with all three points.
The game started with Crystal Palace, who showed an early attack, as Jean-Philippe Mateta tested Jordan Pickford with a low goal in the sixth minute.
A moment later, Justin Devenny also forced the salvation, but the defense of Toffees held firmly. Everton grew into a game, and Alcarazza and Beto connected well. In the 32th minute, Alcarazza saw his strong strike rescued by Dean Henderson.
The breakthrough came in the 42nd minute when Everton rounded up a quick counterpart. Alcarazza played through the ball to Beta, who calmly passed home from close range, giving visitors a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Oliver Glasner responded to changes on the break, introducing Eberechi eze and Adam Wharton to inject fresh energy aside. The replacements paid off almost immediately, as Palace equalized only two minutes in the second half.
The perfect passage of Marc Guehi found Mateta, who was not wrong with her left legs, breaking past Pickford to restore parity to 1-1.
Palace continued to push forward, and Ben Chilwell and Eze tried their happiness from afar, but Pickford remained a heavy wall.
