Tips for Ally McCoist Steven Gerrard to return Rangers
Ally McCoist says Steven Gerrard must carefully consider his next move in the administration, but believes that returning to Rangers is a distinct option.
Last week, Gerrard left the Saudi Arabic side of Al-Eettifaq after a disappointing 18-month spell that followed from an equal insidious period in the Aston Vili.
The 44-year-old is still appreciated in Scotland, however, he led the Rangers until his first Scottish title of the Premiership in the decade of 2021 after passing the undefeated throughout the season.
And the former McCoist legend Rangers believed to return to Ibrox on cards.
He said Talk betting: “It wouldn’t surprise me if Steven Gerrard returned to Ibrox.
“Obviously, the fans have appreciated him very much because of the league title he has won, and his next job will be vital for him.
“The things did not go to the plan for him after leaving Rangers. Little as Frank Lampard went to Coventry – his next meeting was really important for him, so we’ll see what Steven in the end decides to do with his career.”

The title of the Flute Race
The Rangers had a mixed season. They stand 13 points behind the Celtics in the title race, but they automatically qualify for the knockout circle in the Europa League.
Chief coach Philippe Clement remains a division among the support of the club, as McCoist acknowledged.
“I think at this point most of the Rangers fans have accepted that Philippe Clement has received the support of the committee,” the former Scotch striker added.
“Fair to him, there was a constant improvement of performance and results – they ended up really well in the first eight Europa League tables, especially given the strength of some teams they played.
“Saying that, some of the performances away from home were completely unacceptable. In some games they were really poor.”
