Tiger Woods is withdrawing from invitational after the death of mom


Tiger Woods Announced on Monday that he would no longer participate in Invitational Genesis because he was still “processing” his mother’s death.

Woods discovered last week that his motherCultiza, she died. She was 78 years old.

“I planned to bring it this week, but I’m just not ready,” Woods said in a statement. “I did my best to prepare myself, knowing my mom would like it, but I still process her loss.

“Thanks to everyone who reached. I hope to be in Torrey later during the week and appreciate the continuous kindness from the passing of my mom.”

Trump directed condolences to Woods and his family after Golfer announced his mother’s death.

“I was just informed that the wonderful mother of Tiger Woods had passed away – Cultiza – she went to greener sail!” Trump wrote in a post. “The Woods cultivation was an amazing impact on Tiger and gave him great strength and shine. Melania and I send our love and prayer of Tigr and his incredible family!”

The Woods Foundation organizes Invitational Genesis. The event does not have a cut line. If he had participated, he would have been his first tournament because in September he had a microDisctomy to relieve his leg pain.

The event should take place this season in Torrey Pines, instead of in Riviera, because of the fire that scored the Los Angeles area in January.
