Vice President Jd vance On Tuesday, he said that the US would protect American artificial intelligence and chips and block efforts for “weapons” of critical technologies.
“Some authoritarian regimes stole and used AI to strengthen their military intelligence and surveillance abilities, recording foreign data and create propaganda to undermine the national security of other nations,” Vance said in an address at the French AIT ACI meeting in Paris.
“I want to be clear, this administration will block such efforts, completely stopping,” Vance added. “We will protect American AI and Chip technologies from theft and abuse, work with our allies and partners to strengthen and expand these protection and closed paths to opponents who achieve AI capabilities that threaten our people.”
