The US District Judge Dale Ho is waiting to decide to reject the case against the mayor of NYC Eric Adams

The federal judge did not decide whether to dismiss the case against New York Mayor Eric Adams after the Ministry of Justice invited the plaintiff to give up on corruption charges against him.

The American District Judge Dale Ho, who ordered Adams and the Ministry of Justice on Tuesday to appear in court on Tuesday, said on Wednesday that he would not make a decision on the bench and would take time instead of considering all the facts about the case.

“I won’t shoot from the hook here on the bench,” Ho said.

The indictment against Adams claims that he used his position inappropriately as a mayor to seek illegal contributions to the campaign and luxury trips of foreign nationals from Turkey, businessmen and others, according to the Ministry of Justice.

Adams said he was not guilty of charges in September 2024.

On Thursday, the Mayor of Democrats met with the President Donald Trump Border Car, Tom Homan, to discuss ways of working to get the violent migrant gang from New York. In a statement after the meeting, Adams said he wanted to work with Trump’s administration and not go to “war” with them when addressing illegal immigration.

The meeting time, together with the encouragement of the Ministry of Justice to give up charges against Adams, has led to the resignation of several ministry officials who claim that the exchange is a “quid pro quo” offer of deletion of Adam’s charges and providing Trump administration greater support for the fight against illegal immigration.

But Adams denied such accusations.

“I want to be crystal clear with New York: I never offered – nor did anyone offer on my behalf – any trade of my powers as your mayor to end my case. Never,” Adams said in a Friday.

Adams was charged in September 2024 for one point of conspiracy for receiving the contribution of the campaign from foreign nationals and commit fraud and bribery; one point of fraud wire; two points of seeking contributions to foreign nationals campaign; and one number of searching and accepting myth.

The head of the Deputy State Attorney Emil Bove III issued a letter on February 10, ordering federal prosecutors to give up charges against Adams for the time of the proceedings that “incorrectly interfered” in Adam’s campaign at the Mayor’s election 2025.

In addition, Bove said that legal procedure reverses attention from “illegal immigration and violent crime”. Bove wrote in memory that “the persecution on hold of an unprecedented limited Mayor Adams’ ability to pay full attention and resources to the illegal immigration and violent crime that escalated” when the former president Joe Biden was in the White House.

Trump He vowed to aggressively approach border security and illegal immigration and advocated a massive deportation of illegal immigrants. Already the arrests of immigration and customs execution increased by 137% from January 20 to February 8, compared to the same time period 2024 under the Administration of Biden, according to the Ministry of Internal Security obtained by Fox News Digital.

Bove’s Memorandum prompted multiple officials of the Ministry of Justice, including the acting of US lawyer for southern district New York Danielle Sassoon, which Trump temporarily temporarily collected to conduct an office process that persecuted Adams.

“Adam’s lawyers have repeatedly called what Quid Pro Quo meant, pointing out that Adams would be able to help priorities of the implementation of the department only if the indictment was dismissed,” Sassoon said in a letter to the Pam Bonda Attorney General on February 12th.

“Instead of being rewarded, Adam’s advocacy should call for what it is: an irregular offer of helping in the implementation of immigration in exchange for rejection of his case,” Sassoon said.

But Bove said that the case must be rejected to prioritize priority for national and public security instead of a case that “extinguished with worrying tactics” from the beginning.

“There is no place in the Ministry of Justice for lawyers who are refused to execute the priorities of executive power – priorities specified by the US people,” Bove told Fox News Digital on February 13th. Working with a new leadership on SDNY at important priorities, President Trump has determined to make America safe again. “
