After months of downtime, the Sudanese army recently returned large territories from the RSF in the area of Veliki Khartoum. The army announced that she also managed to regain control in Sennar, Guzi and the strategically important city of UMM Ruwab in northern Cordofan, providing an important supply route.
However, the RSF still retains the advantage in the Western regions of the Western Cordofan and Darfura of Vlado Primorje, where the United Nations accused RSF for blocking on Monday.
“Permanent limitations and bureaucratic obstacles” imposed by the RSF Humanitarian Agency “prevent help in rescuing life to reach those in a desperate need,” said Clementine Nkweta-Salami, a UN-Humanitarian coordinator in Sudan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited the International Community-UN, the African Union and the Arab League-Da support its strategic post-war plan because “it is a national consensus for reconstruction of peace and stability in the country and satisfying democratic transition demands.”
The conflict in Sudan began in April 2023 and included bloody struggles between the army, led by Abdel Fattah al-Knight and RSF, led by his former deputy Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
UN said there were more than 12 million people displaced or fled to neighboring countries to escape fights.
