The Bosnian Peace Envoy says regional leaders of the Serbian language who want to destroy the country | News of the courts

Christian Schmidt calls for “the immediate termination of all activities that undermine the Dayton Peace Agreement.”

An international high representative in Bosnia accused the political leaders of the autonomous Serbian region of seeking to destabilize the country after the Statelet adopted the legislation in the ban on the Bosnian national police and justice.

MPs in the Republika Srpska, an autonomous Serb Republic in the country, approved the legislation on Thursday after the state court prohibited its separatist leader Milorad Dodik of Politics for six years and condemned him for one year in prison To refuse to comply with the decisions made by the High MP, Christian Schmidt.

The separatist gambit could launch a constitutional crisis into an ethnically divided post -war Bosnia.

Schmidt, who is in charge of overseeing Dayton’s agreements that ended the 1992-95 intercommunal war between Bosnian Serbs, Croatian and Muslims Bosnians who killed more than 100,000 people, accused political leaders of the autonomous region of the state of stabbing the state.

The Dayton Agreements divided Bosnia into two autonomous regions: the Federation of Muslim KRT and the Serbian dominated by the Serb.

The weak central government connects these regions under a high representative, which holds significant powers, including the ability to shoot political leaders.

On Friday, Schmidt called on to “the immediate cessation of all activities undermined by the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitutional and Legal Order of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the manual said in his office.

“These actions of the ruling coalition in Republika Srpska seek to destabilize institutions that execute the constitutional liability of the state,” the statement added.

Dodik was charged in 2023 after signing the legislation in which the suspension of the Constitutional Court and Schmidt, which violated the peace agreement, was suspended.

Dodik, who has long called on the region to break up and form an alliance with neighboring Serbia, rejected the judgment of the court and called on the legislators in the autonomous Serbian Republic to vote for the prohibition of state police and justice.

“We think this creates a momentum to do this without the use of force,” Dodik said, adding that the region aims to return to reforms and create a state judiciary, police and army to counteract secessionist preferences.

Following a voting on Thursday, Parliamentary President Bosnian Serbian Nenad Stevendic said that 49 of 52 assembly in the Assembly supported the legislation.

However, the Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Niksic, scored Dodik’s incentive to ban institutions in the country on Friday.

“I am not ready to participate in any conversations or discuss constantly political cooperation with the institutions of Republika Srpska as long as all these actions against the Constitution, the Dayton Standing Agreement and the State are stopped and canceled,” Niksic said on social media.

The Bosnian Muslim member of the Tripartite Presidency, Denis Becirovic, also condemned Dodik and Republika Srpska officials, saying that their moves were “attacking the constitutional order of the country”.
