Thames Water attracts competition and a market body to review the price increase that can collect customers between now and 2030, the first time that the greatest water municipal assistance in the UK complains of privatization more than three decades ago.
Thames Water said on Friday that the price of the price prescribed by the Regulator of the Offwat did not “appropriately support the investment and improvement that Thames Water needed to deliver for its customers, communities and the environment in the next five years.”

The request for further increase in the account comes at a dangerous time for the company, which struggles with debt of almost £ 19 billion. Last week a High Court Judge criticized an ofwat and government for failure in trial in court proceedings that will decide on an emergency loan for the utility service.
Most of the water companies have yet to declare whether they will support ofwat’s prices and consumption decisions and have just a few days before the deadline.
To date, only three publicly quoted water companies-severn Trent in Midlands and her associate Hafren Dyffrdwy, southwestern Water and her associate Sutton and East Surrey Water, and United Utilils in the northwest of England-they have gripped the determination in Wat, next to DŵR Cymru Welsh waters. From regional monopoly, this leaves financially problematic south water, plus Northumbian, Yorkshire, Anglian and Wessex to declare their hand.
