Tennis Great Pam Shriver gathered again with stolen trophies recorded during wild fire evacuation in Los Angeles


Tennis legend Pam Shriver finally reunited with her stolen trophies.

Hall of Fame Tennis Pro confirmed on social networks that her Los Angeles Police Directorate returned several pieces of hardware and sentimental items after stolen by her car, while she was staying at the hotel after evacuating her home Destroying fires.

“The good news of my trophies (and family photos) – Detective LAPD in charge of the investigation has them in the police station printed with a finger,” she said in a post on X this week.

“It’s too long a story for a post. We still hope to find Black Dodge Durango Hellcat in one piece.”

Shriver, who won 21 Grand Slam double championship, said Associated Presso that she loaded her vehicle with some of her personal belongings, including her trophies and some family photographs, before evacuating the area.

While staying at the hotel, her car was taken away – and all inside.

“The trophies were buried in the back of the car. You couldn’t look at the window and see them,” she said. “I don’t think they were good at the people who took the car. So they ended up returned them.”

The trophies were later discarded to the hotel, where the detective picked them up to make their finger printed.

“Then my trophies were released,” she said. “I repeated custody.”

According to to ESPN, Safety camera footage has revealed that the person who drives the car “fits” Shriver’s description of the stolen Dodge Durango Hellcat seen descending from the trophy.

Among the trophies that returned to Shriver, they included five that she had one to win in American open women’s couples and four French open in pairs of trophies she won with Martin Navrati. Shriver won 20 out of 21 titles with Navrati.

Shriver said she came back to find out that her home, fortunately, did not damage the fires, but wondered where they were traveling.

“It was an interesting chapter. I wish trophies could talk,” she said. “I would love to know where they were.”
