Steve Bannon, a longtime ally of President Donald Trump, acknowledged the guilt for the fraud of donors who paid the wall at the United States-Mexico border.
Bannon received a sentence of probation for three years, which means that he will not serve in prison under the guilt agreement.
The US Ministry of Justice accused Bannon and three others of cheating hundreds of thousands of donors regarding the “We Build a Wall” campaign, which raised $ 25 million (£ 19 million).
Bannon’s lawyer said on Tuesday that he did not earn any money personally.
