Former Pakistan Allrounder Shahid Afidi supported Mohammad Rizwan to do well in the upcoming champion trophy. Afida showed his faith in Captain Pakistan and claimed that he would manage well as a leader for making a team.
Mohammad Rizwan was appointed Captain Pakistan just last year before Pakistani Tour with a white ball in Australia. He began to win his first two hits in Australia and South Africa well.
Rizwan’s performance was extraordinary in all formats and he is one of the most consistent blows to his team. Wickeket-Batter is a rock of this line of impacts, and Pakistan will rely on him to do his best.

Shahid Afidi supports Mohammad Rizwan
While talking to Star Sports on the eve of the great conflict between India and Pakistan, Shahida Afidi asked about Mohammad Rizwan’s captaincy because he was not too experienced in this level.
Afida believes that Mohammad Rizwan should give an example to other players by performing well with the baton. He thinks Rizwan will receive respect in the locker room only if I have done well.
“I think as a captain he should give an example to the others, which is very important. He must perform in every game. As in Bhai (Insomam-Ul-Haq), he said that body language and attitude are much important,” Afidi noted.
“The captain could get a lot of praise, but he was also criticized in a similar way. So, he must first perform in order to be in a position to say anything to the other players. It makes his own performance very important,” he added.

Further speaking in the same video, Shahid Afida called Rizwan a great leader because he could unite the team. The former Pakistani skipper welcomed Rizwan’s combat features and claimed he could play in big games.
“He (Mohammad Rizwan) is one player who will keep the team together and behave equally with every member. He is a fighter, has a positive body language, gives a lot on the field,” Afida noted.
“So, I believe he is a kind of player who shows a character in big games. I have complete confidence in him that he will make the team fight,” added former Pakistan captain.
The recent form of Pakistan in Odis
Pakistan has not been in great shape lately because they have lost in Novi Zealand in the finals of three series. Pakistan beat only one of three games in the entire series as they lost in New Zealand and in the group stage and in the finals.
He will again face the same team in the opening of the champion trophy on February 19 in Karachi. Mohammad Rizwan had a good baton series because he scored 171 rides in three matches an average of 85.50. However, the 79.53 strike rate is located on the underside.
After facing new Zealand at the tournament opener, Pakistan will face India on February 2nd in Dubai. It will be the first time Rizwan will lead Pakistan in the game against India.
