Scott Sauerbeck, a former pirate thrower, dead in 53

Scott Sauerbeck, ex MLB Backer who played for four Big League teams, died Wednesday in Florida. He was 53 years old.
Pittsburgh baseball now He reported that Sauerbeck had suffered a heart attack. He debuted in the main league with Pittsburgh Pirates in 1999. The franchise confirmed the death of the caster Thursday.

“The pirate family grieves for the passage of Scott Sauerbeck,” the team wrote on X, previously known as Twitter. “Scott played for Bucs from 1999 to 2003 and shared the club record for most of the games that LHP set in one season.
“Our thoughts are with his family and friends during that time.”
The season 2002 was maybe the most memorable Sauerbeck, because his 78 appearances set a record record of Pirates for most of the games set in one season. It remains a record holder.

Sauerbeck landed with Boston Red Sox Through the store during the 2003 season, later signing with Cleveland. He did not appear in any game in 2004 due to injury.
