Manchester United chief coach Ruben Amorim warned “to fight for his jobs” as he turned his attention to Sage Marcus Rashford, which installed a club in January.
Rashford left United, who was sitting 13th in the Premier League table, he suffered seven defeats at Old Trafford, joined by Aston Villa on loan by the end of the season.
During his press conference on Thursday afternoon, on the eve of Friday in the evening of the Fa Cup fourth round against Leicester at Old Trafford, Amorim asked about the conclusion of the agreement.
“We fight for our jobs by the summer. I’m just focusing on these games,” he said.
“Fortunately for Marcus, he is now in Birmingham, with Unai [Emery] So you can ask questions for these months to another coach.
“We are currently focused on our players.
“I knew when I chose this profession that you have the risk of results and I already knew when I came here.
“I looked at the schedule, I looked at the team and realized that my decision was to change everything, making those difficult decisions in the middle of the season – without new signatures – a danger to the coach.
“But from day one, with good results or bad results, I have a clear idea of what I want to do and take these risks because, in the end, I think it will pay off.
“But I’m not naive; I have said many times that it is a sport of results and we are in a difficult situation.”
United allowed Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Marcus to leave the club on loan, and young defenders Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorg are the only reputations.
The club appeared near the signing of Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, but the 19-year-old striker instead joined Tottenham on loan by the end of the season.
By analyzing the window, he alluded to the idea of the United Idea to experience short -term pain for the long -term gain.
“What I feel is that the club takes its time,” he said. “We know the urgency of the team right now, but I don’t think everyone here wants to make the same mistakes we have done in the past.
“We need to improve the players we have, win in some games, and then, in the summer, we will see. We are really careful with transfers because we have made some mistakes in the past.
“The moment is that it is difficult to turn things into several games. It will be so – really hard – by the end of the season.
“We want a different thing in our team, we want profiles and that’s my area, so it was my decision to do it [not make wholesale changes in January].
“We take some risks, but that’s the way we want to continue. We can improve our team. We will have time to train because I always regret not having time to train.
“We now have time for training, we will improve the team, players. I want a certain type of player, a different profile and we change right away.”
