A few eyebrows were raised when Claudio Ranieri was pulled out of a pension to take responsibility for Roma for the third time.
The 73-year-old was lured from the sofa thought that he had returned peace to Giallorossi, who started the season with Daniele de Rossi, before being removed for Ivan Juric, who lasted only 53 days at the helm.
Ranieri did not inspire the immediate transformation, but it seems that Roma has found her progress in recent weeks. In the series A they have been undefeated since December 15th and won the six of their last nine games to climb ninth in the table.
Their European hopes depend on tonight’s second footing of the Europa League against Porto in the Italian capital.

Equalizer Francisco Moura denied Roma in Porto last week, the game ended 1-1, but we are convinced that Ranieri’s men will do a job tonight.
This is not the Vintage Porto side and they sit in third place in the league, behind Benfica and leader Sporting CP.
They won only one of their last six in the league, successes from 1-0 at Farense during the weekend, the kindness of the second goal of Moura.
Double on the gala
Roma I like the double that includes Galatasaray.
The Turkish giants hit 4-1 AZ Alkmaar last week in the first part, which means that the gala must produce something special on the home lawn.
It will be a hostile atmosphere, and few clubs are harder to stop when they enter the reel. Add to the fact that Star striker Victor except back from the suspension and we advocate to win the house.
