Back in 2022, the legendary musician revealed that he could no longer play drums because it was too difficult to pick up his drummers.
Now Collins illuminates the current state of its health – and it was not much better.

The latest original work of Collins was in 2002 for his solo album, “Conscious”. In 2010, he published “Beay Back”, which consisted of a cover from Motown, but has not published any material since then.
Genisis went on a tour of 2022, and Collins joined. He sat in a chair to sing during the performance, and his son Nic played drums.

At the end of the final show of the tour, Collins announced that it would be Last performance for Genesis.
“It’s a very special night tonight. Of course, we play in London. It’s the last stop of our tour, which is the last show for Genesis,” he said during the show. “It’s hard for us to believe that you still went out to see it. I guess after tonight we all have to get real jobs.”

In December, Collins released the documentary “Phil Collins: the drummer first”, in which he talked about how difficult he was to continue playing.

Collins joined Genesis in 1970, when the band was ahead of singer Peter Gabriel. In 1975, Gabriel left the band and Collins took over the main singer and face of the band.
In 1996, Collins officially left the band to continue his solo career, although he had a huge solo success in the 1980s. His first solo hit was “in Air Tonight”, which is still one of his most famous songs.
