India may have secured a series against England, but there are a few more holes to fill in front of the champion trophy. One of these concerns is the form of KL Rahula, who recorded two low ratings against England in the first two Odu.

With just one match before the champion trophy, KL Rahul is under a huge pressure because of the presence of another talented guard Rishabh Pant on the bench. But former India coach Sanjay Bangar supported Rahula despite her low return.

Bangar thinks India should not change the playing XI now that the champion trophy is right around the corner. He spoke of the importance of adherence to the stable XI, which would be crucial for India that manages well.

Sanyay Bangar returns Kl Rahul over Rishabh Pant

While talking to Jio Cinema, Sanjay Bangar thought India should not play Yashasvi Jaiswal in the third go -uu ahmedabad. He believes that Arshdeep Singh and Rishabh Panto can get a chance, but invited to hold on to the same playing XI.

“I think Yashasvi Jaiswal needs to play. If there is a merit, you can play Arshdeep Singh or Rishabh Pant, but with the remaining only one match, it might be better to continue with the current XI.

Bangar also supported KL Rahul and believes that the Wickeker hunt should be supported instead of jumping on Rishabh Pant. There were an invitation to play Pant in ODIS because Rahul did not get a big result in the first two games.

“Kl Rahul didn’t have much chance to hit a long time, and the guard was solid. It is important to trust him,” the former Indian Allround added.

Performance of Kl Rahul in the first two Odis

Kl Rahul scored only 10 out of 14 balls in the second ODO in Cuttack. He entered no. 6 below the Axara Patel, while the Indian team manager decided to go to the left and right combination again. While India was already in a good position when he came out, Rahul’s low yields put pressure on him with pants on the bench.
