Players’ ratings as Modric Stunner inspires Madrid victory

Real Madrid returned to second place in La Liga on Sunday afternoon after the Girona 2-0 cruise in the Spanish capital.
Winners for Atletico Madrid and Barcelona meant that Los Blancos started a day in third place, increasing pressure on Carl Ancelotti to visit Girona.
Both goalkeepers were drawn into early savings, with Madrid’s superstar attack – in the absence of Jude Bellingham – threatened often on a counter -attack, but failed to fill the final touch. Girona struggled to confirm the control, but she looked easily when they settled into their defense block.
Visitors had one or two moments in the opening period, but Thibaut Courtois saved from Donny van de Beek before Viktor Tsygankov impressed a good chance. Michel’s side was made to pay before halftime while Luka Modric knocked down a top goal to open from afar.
Madrid opted for a cruise after taking over the lead, and Girona was threatened with relatively tamed, while the hosts tried to hit the second time. Vinicius Junior began to take over, dominating his flank, and he was closest to the doubling of the host leadership when his fierce effort from a distance hit the crossbar. In the second half, the Brazilian intended to end his long -lasting drought La Liga.
After intersecting Infield and shot high, Vini eventually got his name on the leaf in the last ten minutes. The wing was knocked home from Mbappe’s sweet pass behind him to seal points for Madrid.
