Chelsea’s journey FA Cup ended in the fourth round, as they fell to a 2-1 defeat on Saturday night in the hands of the newly founded Rival Brighton & Hove Albion.
Bart Verbuggen spilled Cole Palmer’s cross into the back of his net within the first five minutes, but the excellent head of Georginio Rutter soon gave Brighton to equalize their performances in the first half undoubtedly deserved.
Kaora Mitoma put Brighton in the lead at the beginning of the second half, and from that moment on Chelsea he never looked like he was back in the game. A few semi -high naked ones all led to nothing as the blues watched their last chance that homemade silver accessories fade without any real struggle.
For Brighton, it was the perfect response to hitting 7-0 in the hands of the Nottingham Forest, and Fabian Hurzeler reserved his place in the fifth round with relatively ease.
