PGA Tour is attributed to Trump with the relocation of the LIV Golf Deal closer during the presidential big sports week

PGA Tour made a statement on Thursday thanks President Donald Trump for intervention in the touring efforts to establish a business contract with the Public Investment Fund LIV Golf and Saudi Arabia (PIF).

“We asked the president to get involved in good games, good countries and for all the countries involved,” the statement from Pga tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and player director Tiger Woods said. “We are grateful that his leadership brought us closer to the final agreement, and inserting the way to the reunification of a male professional golf.”

After launching in 2022, Liv lured several golf stars with huge salaries, including Jon Rahm, Bryson Dechabbeau, Brooks Koeka, Ian Poultter and Sergio Garcia.

In June that year, PGA suspended 17 players who were committed to playing for LIV and promised future suspensions for all who participated in LIV events.

In June 2023, PGA Tour and the European World World Tour announced that they had a “framework agreement” to connect with PIF and LIV. But the agreement never came to fruition because the deadline for the completion of that agreement passed at the end of that year.

She has been over more than a full year since then, but now Trump’s intervention could bring such a job.

Golf star Rory Mcilroy said in November that he believed Trump could have been the president for the second time to help “clear the way” for an agreement between PGA and LIV.

Trump has a close relationship with Saudi Arabia and Liv Golf, with several of his events in 54 holes stored in Trump -owned courses.

Trump’s intervention with PGA LIV has been one of the many major sports moments for the president this week.
