New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (Njsiaa) posted a statement about the matter after reviewing multiple Video angles of the quarrel, During which Knox Jr. ran from the floor of the gym in white to join the fight.
Knox Jr., Cornell Conding, is the best ranked 126-pound wrestler in the United States with a career record of 136-1 and 123 direct victories, including his district title.

“I would like to thank administrators and coaches from our members of the members and those spectators who made written statements and videos to help the investigation. I would also like to thank the safety of events and the Collingswood Police Directorate for their effective treatment with this incident, which allowed the tournament to be completed without further incident.
“I have not made this decision lightly. I am completely aware of the consequences of students. He is older, and this disqualification effectively ends up his high school career. However, my role is to support the integrity of high school athletics, ensuring that all participants adhere to the same rules and keep themselves in the same standards of sports and security.
“Let it be clear, the association cannot and will not approve the actions that violate their sports management policy or rules approved at school.”
