Myles Garrett: Cleveland Browns Star requires a store after eight seasons with a team | NFL News

Myles Garrett, a ruling NFL defense player of the year, requested a trade from Cleveland Browns after eight seasons with a team.

The 29-year-old’s request comes after Cleveland CEO Andrew Berry told reporters that Garrett would not trade this off-season.

In a statement posted on Monday, Garrett said his desire to win Super Bowl is behind his desire. Browns had the worst record in the league during the 2024 season, ending at 3-14.

“As a child dreaming of NFL, all I focused on was the ultimate goal of winning the Super Bowl – and that goal today more than ever,” Garrett said.

“My love for the community of northeast ohija and the incredible Cleveland Browna fan base has made these one of the most difficult decisions in my life. These eight years have shaped me into a man I am today.

“Although I liked to call this city with my home, my desire to win and compete at the biggest stages, I won’t let me regret.

“The goal has never been a transition from Cleveland to [the Hall of Fame in] Canton, it was always to compete and win a Super Bowl.

“With that in mind, I asked to be traded from Cleveland Browns.”

Garrett has been left for two years at a five -year extension of $ 125 million, which he signed with Cleveland in 2020.

Browns GM Berry said last week: “Obviously we feel good in Myles as a large part of our future.

“We look forward to being on the ground. As I said at my press conference, let’s imagine going from Cleveland to Canton when his career is over.”

Garrett comes out of his seventh two-time bag season, including four in a row with 14 or more, as he became the fastest player in NFL history in 100 bags.

He earned five-acthical pro Bowl nods, was named the first-team All-Pro four times and is the ruling NFL defensive player of the year, and again he is a finalist for the 2024 season.

Asked if he would refuse an offer that included two choices of the first round for Garrett, Berry replied, “Okay. Exactly. You can put it on the record.”
