Luke Littler: Super League Warrington Wolves renamed the stadium in honor of the World Championship winner in Dartsa | Rugby league news

The Warrington Wolves will rename its stadium in honor of World Champion Darts Luka Littler for their introductory home game of the new Sugr League season.
Wolves Littler’s lifelong fan became the youngest winner of the Darts World Championship when he triumphed at the Alexandra Palace in January, a few weeks before his 18th birthday.
Warrington, who has closely missed the place in last year’s big finals, renamed the Halliwell Jones Stadium as “Luke Little Stadium” for their Catalan dragons on Friday 21 February.
Littler will be an honorary guest on the night and run the team, as well as to parade your World Cup trophy around the field at halftime.
Littleler said: “It is a dream come true that the club where I was a fan has decided to name the stadium for me since my youth!
“It’s an absolute honor and I can’t thank the club enough.”
The announcement on Tuesday comes less than 24 hours before the official launch of the Super League 2025 season, which you can follow Live from Wednesday at the Sky Sports application.
Littler, meanwhile, begins to defend the title in the Premier League on Thursday night in Belfast, live Sky Sports.
Executive Director of Warrington Wolves Karl Fitzpatrick said: “Luke’s achievements on the world stage were nothing amazing, and we are immensely proud to celebrate his success with this special return home.
“He is a real fan of Warrington, and therefore the renaming of our stadium in his honor for our home opener is appropriate.”
The Super League season begins on Thursday, February 13th, defending the Wigan Warriors champions who hosted Leigh Leopards, while Warrington starts his campaign at Huddersfield Giants on Sunday, February 16th.
Sky Sports Will again display every match of the Super League Live this season – including two matches in each round exclusively live, with the remaining four matches each week shown on Sky Sports+
