The 29-year-old eventually took place with a cold bird hole for the play-off, while Dagar made a beetle to get to the top after the couple were on a total of nine.

Spanish Nuria Iturrioz four consecutive birds on halfway saw her take over the lead, but four godfathers on her back pulled her out of the quarrel.

Meanwhile, Gainer and Dagar have been at a level in the last nine holes. Dagar was bird on 11 and 13, but he broke through the 14th, before Gainer made a hat-trick bird before the last hole and ended the day at four under 69.

Dagar’s six below 67 meant that the play-off was needed to be titled, and the gain came out on top with another bird.
