Katy Perry Lauren Sanchez, Gayle King and others on their way to space with a crew with a female will join.

King responded to the news in the “CBS Mornings” episode on Thursday.

Fox News Digital addressed the representatives of Perry and Sanchez regarding their decision to travel to space.
“Katy is honored to be part of the first Blue Origin crew crew and hopes her journey encourages her daughter and others to reach for the stars, literally and figuratively,” Blue Origin said in a statement.

Perry and King are not the first celebrities to travel to space with blue origin. William Shatner traveled to space in October 2021, becoming the oldest person who did it at the time. Shatner recalled his experience in space during an interview with Fox News Digital.

“When I landed and got out of the spaceship, I was overwhelmed with a feeling and started crying,” he remembered Shatner, who was 90 at the time of his trip. “I didn’t know what I was crying about. And it took me a few hours to be alone to understand what was with me.”
“And then I realized that I was in a lawsuit for this beautiful world that I could see more clearly from the universe … This planet that lasted 5 billion years to evolve into what is now. And all the many things that we human beings can love and be aware of that are so beautiful. It has nothing to do with elephants and all that is and all that is, all that, but all that is.”
